Despite the fact that I loathe taking baths (I mean seriously...ew!), I am oddly fascinated by the variety of bathtub styles there are/have been in this world.  Everything from vintage, to ultra-modern , any shape, color, variety you can imagine.  Seriously, just google image bathtubs...

Here are some of my favorites:
This one is very modern, yet sort of natural and earthy at the same time.

This one reminds me of a nautical theme, if it were mine I would paint the walls blue with little fishy decals!
This is so Grecian and pretty, it makes me creeped out and a little in awe at the same time.

This is a sleek throwback to vintage!
Who doesn't love a traditional bathtub?!

This one sort of reminds me of a futuristic sleeping pod...

This one is what I imagine to be country-esque: cute, little, and wooden :)

This one is very zen, I could see enjoying a cup of tea and just relaxing here.
For some reason this reminds me of a plate, I'd feel like I was going to be eaten!See some other VERY cool and interesting bathtubs!
What about you?  Do you have any odd fascinations?  What do you think about these bathtubs?

  1. I really love the wooden one. It makes me think of bathing out in the middle of a grassy field with towering willows draping their branches all around like a curtain.

  2. I like the zen one. BUT. As soon as I saw what this post was, I had to go find this picture for you:

Yes. That. That's the tub I want.

Also, my cousin who teaches kindergarten in Utah bought an old claw-footed tub, stripped it, painted it, put it in her classroom, and filled it with pillows. So the kids can sit in it and read if they've been good and finished their work. I AM SO JEALOUS. ha.

  3. we visit a local place that deals with salvages from old houses and buildings--they have some of the most beautiful claw footed tubs--those are some of my favorites---i agree with you about the plate tub---and i like the one with the rock garden below--great tubs
